Film On The Rocks Drive-In: The Shining

THE SHINING — Academy Award winner Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall star in director Stanley Kubrick's disturbing adaptation of Stephen King's blockbuster horror novel. When writer Jack Torrance (Nicholson)–who has a history of alcoholism and child abuse–takes a job as winter caretaker for a hotel high in the Rocky Mountains, he, his wife (Duvall) and their psychic young son will be isolated until spring. But once the first blizzard closes the road out, the accumulated power of evil deeds committed at the hotel begins to drive Jack mad. Now there may be no escape for his wife and son in this haunting madness, memory and family violence.

One ticket will allow access for one standard vehicle entry, regardless of number of passengers. All Film on the Rocks attendees should utilize Entrance 2 to enter the park. You will continue to the Lower South Lot 2 for ticket scanning from your vehicle.

RVs, buses, or any hitched trailers are not allowed and will be denied entry. High profile vehicles will be directed to the back of the parking lot so as not to interfere with sight lines. We ask that you stay with your vehicle during the film except to use the restroom or buy concessions. No grilling on the grounds, vehicle roofs, hoods or truck beds please.

All tickets to Film on the Rocks 2021 include movie snacks that will be distributed to each vehicle upon entry. A bag of CityPop Popcorn, theatre size box of plain M&M’s, 7oz Twizzlers, and two Coke products (choice of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Dasani upon availability) will be included per vehicle ticket.
